A little about me

Bethan Hooper

In March 2018 my daughter Eleri was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the right femur. After eighteen months of gruelling treatment Eleri left us on September 2019. Our hearts are broken.

We are and always will be a family of five. Myself, my husband Rob, Owen our son, Megan our new born baby and, of course, Eleri. We are all trying to navigate our grief in the best way we can and I am attempting to share our experiences. I’m in no way a grief expert, I’ll just be sharing what I am learning as I come to terms with our new normal.

In a previous life I was a special needs teacher but now I’m a full time mummy trying to find my place in the world. Eleri’s death has fundamentally changed the way I view my life and how I want to live. I’ll also be writing about trying to find out who I am and what my life will now be.

Thank you for joining me on my blogging journey. I place huge value on commenting with people so please don’t hesitate to contact me with your thoughts and feelings.
